ISOLAR AKUSTEX^® the insulated glass for quietness and comfort

ISOLAR AKUSTEX^® creates sound and thermal insulation properties for a better quality of life. It combines the unique properties of the transparent glass material with the possibility of an effective sound insulation.

The basis for an acoustic insulation in glass is extremely simple. It depends on the specification, we can use:

• Vidros de maior espessura;
• Different thicknesses glasses ( asymmetric construction);
• Distance increase between glasses;
• Special filling gas between glasses;
• Safe laminated glasses with insulation through acoustic films.

For each person the right glass

The wide range of AKUSTEX^® insulation glasses offers acoustic protection in windows and facades depending on individual needs, for instance, when it is about sound insulation and total construction thickness, for each situation there is an appropriate glass. Noble gases like argon or krypton, inserted between glasses, positively contribute for an acoustic and thermal improvement.
The acoustic insulation demands, particularly high, make it necessary for the use of AKUSTEX^® AF acoustic solutions, by using reinforced acoustic safe laminated. These are made by using a special acoustic film, whose properties regarding none sound transmission are particularly optimized.
Specially in what concerns to low frequency, we can get excellent results. For a glass acoustic insulation, until the limits of technical possibilities, AKUSTEX^® AF is made by using two reinforced acoustic safe laminated glasses, usually of different thicknesses.

Additional function of thermal insulation

AKUSTEX^® AF takes simultaneously care to the highest level of acoustic insulation and the insulation itself. It provides the connection of basic glass acoustic insulation with those of triple glass thermal insulation. While external and internal glasses essentially determine insulation, central glass has a secondary role. At the same time its highly insulation coverings and argon or kripton noble gases, between glasses, allow a bigger efficiency in the use of precious energy resources.
