PRIVATE GLAS intelligent laminated glass

PRIVATE GLAS is a switchable laminated glass which main characteristic is the possibility to be transparent when connected to the electric current. When the current is off it is opaque for a better efficient privacy or it can also be used as a projection canvas screen for multimedia presentations.

PRIVATE GLAS has a polymer and liquid crystals film, which is incorporated between two butyrals (PVB). When the current is off, liquid crystals are randomly distributed and the incident light scattered, causing the opaque effect. When the electric current is on, liquid crystals vibrate aligning themselves which makes the glass transparent.

PRIVATE GLAS is supplied as a finished product, as a single glass or as an interior component of an ISOLAR GLAS^®, so that it can be integrated in an insulated glass to apply in windows and doors.

Uses

PRIVATE GLAS can be used in shops, as MULTIPACT^® TEMPREX^®, as interior curtain-walls, conference rooms, clothes shops and shopping centres, automatic and manual doors, hospital usages, etc.
