Schiphol Airport, Pier E- F | Amsterdam – Netherlands

VITROCHAVES® provides 4500 m2 of glass for the new Pier Airpot Schiphol in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Glass unit of over 700 kg and 3500×2750 mm of dimension weren’t an obstacle to choose VITROCHAVES® to supply the complex glass solution located in the new Schiphol airport terminal in Netherlands.

Innovative and technically advanced solutions

Project requirements were ambitious; they were looking for a aesthetics, thermal and solar solution together with high standard manufacturing dimensions.

When VITROCHAVES® was consulted to embrace this challenge it looked like we couldn’t reach such requirements, however, thanks to the most advanced technology in magnetron cover, latest generation screen printing processes and the know-how in the manufacturing process, and were decisive for the success of the operation.

Objective achieved

A double glazed insulated glass with 55 mm, including SOLARLUX® glass with screen printing, where the magnetron cover is placed on TEMPREX® glass with dual point screen printing in dégradé. The manufacturing finishes by adding warm edge, argon gas and MULTIPACT® interlayers.
