PROTECTION AND SAFETY

PROTECTION AND SAFETY

Nowadays knowing that we are safe, either us or the ones around us, it is not only important but also governed and controlled by law in several countries.

Glass is going to break

It is common sense reasoning that glass is a fragile material, it is susceptible to break and the most important question is not if this is going to break or not but how and under which conditions this is going to break and how to control the break so as to be a safe protective element.

Protection for people and property

According to the present standards in force, there are only two types of glasses classified as safe, MULTIPACT® glasses, which by its characteristics when it breaks it doesn’t shatter and at the same time, it often keeps windows non-watertight, as besides the break in the glass, if the interlayer doesn’t crack, it still ensures stability and shattering.

On the other hand, we have TEMPREX®, the thermally treated glass that by its characteristics, when it breaks, it shatters into pieces, small cubes not bigger than the glass’ thickness, avoiding adverse damage.

It is also possible to ally MULTIPACT® and TEMPREX® thus obtaining a harder, safer and more stable element.

Protecting people from falling

Nowadays glass is increasigly assuming na important and trustful role when we talk about transparent and elegant glass balustrades, which are regulated by law. By combining  MULTIPACT® with other components, like SentryGlass®, TERMEX® or TEMPREX® HST interlayers we can archieve safety, stability and people protection from falling.
